THE MEDALS
CONCOURS GÉNÉRAL AGRICOLE
For 150 years now, the Concours Général Agricole has been rewarding and promoting many of France’s local products. To reward them, gold, silver and bronze medals are awarded.
OUR PARTICIPATION
For several years now, we’ve been taking part in this competition in the Eau de Vie-Whisky category. Each year, Whisky samples have been received and validated for the Concours Général Agricole.
RANKING
For the Whisky category, samples are classified in 5 different sections :
1st section : Whisky d’Alsace IG
2nd section : Whisky Breton or de Bretagne IG
3rd section : Whisky de France de malt/single malt
AWARDING MEDALS
The process for awarding medals is simple. The jury is mixed: professionals and private individuals. The jury is mixed : professionals and private individuals. They are divided into several tables of 5 people, and taste 10 whiskies blind. Each table then agrees to award medals for the whiskies tasted.
AND THE 2023 SIDE
The Gost and Terrocita have been awarded double medals. The Gost silver medal 2020 & gold medal 2023, and the Terrocita gold medal 2019, 2022 and silver medal 2023.

Brewed, distilled & matured at the Castan Distillery. Williams pear is one of the most delicious and fragrant brandies. Bronze medal 2020, Concours Général Agricole des Eau de vie.
